Vacancy Chief Security Officer – CLOSED

Fiji Meat Industry Board (FMIB) has a vacancy for a Chief Security Officer.

The Chief Security Officer (CSO) is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight of all security matters across FMIB. The role is accountable for protecting FMIB’s personnel, facilities, livestock, assets, information, and reputation by developing and implementing comprehensive security and risk management frameworks.

The successful candidate will lead security operations, investigate incidents, manage emergency preparedness, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organisational policies. The role also requires close collaboration with management, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders to maintain a safe and secure operating environment. The role combines physical security, risk management, incident response, and organisational resilience responsibilities.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in security management, Criminology, Law Enforcement, or a related discipline or without the academic qualification, a minimum of seven (7) years’ progressively responsible experience in security management, law enforcement, military service, or a related field.
  • At least three (3) years in a supervisory role;
  • Demonstrated experience in managing security operations or implementing risk management programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of managing security services, emergency management, and strong regulatory compliance in terms of security protocols and conducting security checks.

Desirable

  • Experience in a supervisor position for security services or similar roles.
